HANOI ROCKS RETURNED?
Michael Monroe (Hanoi Rocks) and
Jay Hening (Star Star) formed
Demolition 23 in New York 1993, 8 years after the break-up with
Hanoi Rocks. Their first and last album was mostly filled with covers
(Johnny Thunders, UK Subs & The Dead Boys). The album was dedicated to the memory of
Stiv Bators (The Dead Boys) 1994.
Sam Yaffa (Hanoi Rocks) played bass guitar on the album.
Jay Hening was injured in a road accident and was not able to perform so
Nasty Suicide (Hanoi Rocks) replaced
Jay on guitar. The fourth member of
Hanoi Rocks Andy McCoy also joined
Demolition 23, February 1995. Just a month after
Nasty Suicide decided to leave the band so
Michael Monroe got surprised and decided to split the band.
