Other facts:

• The band's first name was Force. 
• The record companies said that they would be published if they cut their hair and sang in Swedish. Which they ofcourse did not do. Peter Olsson left the band who later on played with Yngwie Malmsteen and his band Rising Force. 
• Europe wrote the soundtrack for the movie On the Loose in 1985, the hit Rock the Night was made.
• The Final Countdown was produced by Kevin Elson who also produced Journey.
• They did an american tour with Def Leppard.
• They played a festival gig with Vixen, Bon Jovi and Skid Row at National Bowl in Milton Keynes, England.
• Marcel Jacob committed suicide 2009.  R.I.P
