Other facts:
- The band was called Inearthed in the beginning.
- They got the name Children of Bodom because of the story behind the Lake Bodom Murders, find more information about the story of it here.
- Alexi Laiho tried to mimic one of his idols Yngwie Malmsteen's style for the first album Something Wild, which later on is described as COB's most technical album made.
- At Finnish Metal Music Awards in 2003, COB won the award 'Finnish Band of the Year'.
- In 2006, the band got on The Holy Alliance tour with bands like In Flames, Mastodon, Slayer, Lamb of God and Thine Eyes Bleed.
- COB played at Wacken Open Air festival in 2008, some other bands included was Avantasia, Sonata Arctica and Iron Maiden.
- In 2009 the band played at Japan's Loudpark Festival with the bands Anthrax, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Arch Enemy & Rob Zombie.
- Skeletons in the Closet is an cover album COB made that was released 2009. They covered Billy Idol, Britney Spears, Alice Cooper etc.
