Other facts:
- Mick Mars came up with the band name, Mötley Crüe. Vince Neil added the extra dots, inspired by the beer Löwenbräu.
- Vince Neil and Razzle (Hanoi Rocks) got in a car to get more alcohol when they had a party in 1984, Vince was driving and crashed. Razzle sadly died. R.I.P.
- Nikki Sixx took an heroin overdose in 1987, he was dead for 2 minutes. They brought him back to life, the experience gave them the inspiration to write the ultimate song 'Kickstart My Heart', that you can find on the Dr. Feelgood album.
- Mötley Crüe named their boxes to 'Music To Crash Your Car Too' & 'Music To Crash Your Car Too II'. Michael Monroe (Singer of Hanoi Rocks) were very mad about that.
- Nikki Sixx released a book about his heroin addiction, containes his diaries he wrote during the time, called 'The Heroin Diaries, A Year in the Life of A Shattered Rock star'. There is also a soundtrack for the book with the band Sixx:A.M.
- There is a book about Mötley Crües history called 'The Dirt'.
- Around 1997, Mötley Crüe has been signed by Elektra for many years, they created their own label Mötley Records.
- Women has come and gone in the Crüe, mostly known is Pamela Anderson, Heather Locklear, Kat Von D and Donna D'errico.
