The Italian band from Milano started the band in September '05. They describe their meaning with the band like this "The only desire to share our greatest passion, ROCK N ROLL!" The band's first demo was recorded 2 months after the start, recorded with a lower budget but still shows what they are all about, the singer L.A, bass player Fedexx, drummer Joey and the guitarist Fylo. In march 2008 they signed with Sliptrick Records and recorded their first album Animated Freaks.
It got released during the winter same year.

About a year ago we found Scarlet Violet during our Rock of Ages project, the publicity did not happen so now we decided to share with you all that italians can do more than just working with pipes, pizza and pasta. We asked the guitarist Fylo some questions, check them out!
Which song are you most proud of?
- Usually an artist is always proud of his latest creation. This is why personally I’m always very proud of our lastest songs… One in particular is “Roll The Dice”, it came out just the way I had it in mind, which gives me a great satisfaction. It’s a great mix of influences… it’s almost as if metal, punk, rock n’ roll and pop were all in the same family.

Influences?
- Well I started listening to metal at the age of 9… Bands like Iron Maiden, Helloween, Savatage, Dream Theater, Slayer, to name a few. Later on I had an American punk rock fase, an 80’s hard rock fase, then back to metal. I now listen to anything that can capture my interest, in can literally be any genre! However before hearing any kind of heavy-distorted electric guitar, I used to be a hardcore Michael Jackson fan...

Who came up with the band name?
- The name had been decide before I even joined the band… I think it was L.A. who came up with it, he was painting one night, using red and purple… He thought it looked cool so he suggested the name to my brother (he was the drummer at the time) and Fedexx, who both liked it, as it had a very 80’s kind of vibe to it.

Which bands would you like to play with?
- I think it would be so cool to open up for Avenged Sevenfold… I discovered them recently, a few days before The Rev died sadly… They’re one of the bands I like the most these days. They’re a great live band, not to mention that their music sounds like something from another planet. Apart from that, the guys also should be loads of fun to hang out with!
Where do you think you'd been without SV?
- Probably I’d be looking for another band, I can’t stand still without doing nothing musically. I’d need to express myself one way or the other!
Impress us, tell us something fun.
- Mmm… There’s a lot of fun stories… Well one night, after a show in Latvia, Joey (drummer) and I stayed up ‘til the morning after to party and get smashed. The guys had gone to the hotel to get some sleep, so when the club closed at about 8.00 a.m. We were left with no place to go as we had no idea where the hotel was and couldn’t get a hold of anybody. Eventually we decided to get something to eat, but all we could find was this bakery-shop. We went and there was a queue of 70-80 year-old ladies waiting to buy some bread. We still had our stage clothes still on (which basically consisted of a bunch of torn clothes) and had eyeliner dripping from our eyes. These ladies were looking at us as if we came from Mars, which probably could’ve been possible, and looked terribly embarrassed. It was loads of fun!
Would you rather eat a bucket of crap or have a band ONLY orgie?
- Mmm… would there be something interesting to find in the crap? I’m not so sure about the orgy…
Why?
- Well L.A. especially is a big guy, I’d be kinda scared! Haha!
Are you into religion?
- Let’s say that I have my very personal view about God… I don’t believe in religion as an institution, I think it’s rather a personal spiritual path one has the freedom to choose, in which you can decide which rules work best for yourself. However I do think one should know about religions, regardless of his own beliefs.
Final, Give your fans a hot greeting.
- Oh world, just wait until we get to your town and you'll have more than a beautiful greeting, promised! Until then, if anyone of you wants to contact us, feel free to do so (girls especially)!! Cheers!!
